Transitioning to Fall and School

As the back-to-school and fall season approaches, many moms find themselves juggling a myriad of tasks: shopping for supplies, organizing schedules, and managing the emotional ups and downs of their children. It's easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of to-do lists and expectations, striving for perfection in every aspect of this transition. However, it's crucial to remember that this time of year is as much about adjusting for parents as it is for the kids. Giving yourself GRACE during this period is not only beneficial for your well-being but also sets a positive example for your children.

Consider adding these few items to your routine:

  • Pack school bags and lunches the night before

  • Talk with your kids at dinner about the next day’s schedule

  • Plan your workout routine for the entire week the weekend before

It's okay if everything doesn't go perfectly—if mornings are chaotic, or if everyone is still finding their rhythm a few weeks into the school year. Embrace the imperfections and remember that the process of adjusting to a new routine takes time. Allow yourself to prioritize self-care and accept that doing your best is enough!
