Tell us who is in your family: My husband, Andrew and children Kinzie (4) and Carter (1).

Current/Previous Career: Optometrist

What was your childhood ambition? To become a doctor to be able to help others.

What does motherhood mean to you? Motherhood to me is the unique experience of watching my babies constantly grow and change! Growing up I always thought I would be more career focusing and motherhood shifted my perspective in every way! It has helped me to slow down and really enjoy the wonderful experiences we are able to share. And perpetual exhaustion!

What is the farthest you have been away from home? Greece, on our honeymoon.

How has FIT4MOM DuPage County changed your life? FIT4MOM has changed my life in so many ways! After decades of having difficult relationships with food and my body image, FIT4MOM helped me to shift my perspective! I learned to love my body for all it does for me and I was also able to become much stronger! It helped me to finally find workouts that I enjoyed and offered the unique experience of making friends while doing so!

Favorite exercise: Monkeys

Proudest Moment: Anytime I see my kids treating others with kindness.

What is one thing you have learned so far from this year? Life can change in an instant! It is something we all know, but when something actually happens it hits differently. I have been focusing on disconnecting more and enjoying the small moments!

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us!: We had 3 wedding receptions! Married in Mexico with 50 people, then a reception here and another reception in Indiana!
